PLEASE NOTE: THE VENUE HAS CHANGED. THE FEAST WILL NO LONGER BE HELD AT CLYDE IRON WORKS. THE EVENT WILL BE AT THE SHRINER’S TEMPLE IN DULUTH (HERMANTOWN).
On Sunday, December 20, we invite you to the Shriner’s Temple in Duluth (Hermantown), MN for our 2nd annual Manidoo Giizisoons Feast (Feast of the Little Spirit Moon), a 4-course indigenous feast by the Sioux Chef featuring Native foods in “pre-contact” recipes, prepared using the traditional ways of our ancestors. Join us to celebrate the winter solstice and the abundance of the north country, and honor the sacred waters of our region. The feast will be themed to the current moon of the Anishinaabe calendar, the Manidoo Giizisoons (Little Spirit Moon). We will enjoy music by the Oshkii Giizik singers and Ojibwe folk musician Annie Humphrey, who recently released a new CD!
